5 things that help keep my skin feeling healthy!

March 9, 2019 Beauty & Lifestyle, Skincare

The cocktail for healthy skin does vary depending on what kind of skin type you have…

These are a few of the “To-Do’s” I make sure I hit in my day.

SLEEP WITH SILK PILLOWCASE

Silk pillowcases help keep your skin hydrated. Cotton, on the other hand, soaks in all your good skincare product! What a freaking waste! When I officially changed to a silk pillowcase I immediately could see a difference. I even try to take it with me when I travel! Its a must have ladies!

AVOID DAIRY AND SUGAR

This one is really hard for me because I live for a cold coffee with a shot of expresso. Seriously where you can, try to substitute the heavy cream for almond milk. Skip out on the tiramisu dessert after dinner as tempting as it may be.

DRINK THE  AMOUNT OF WATER THAT YOU NEED

Try and drink the amount of water you need according to your body weight. Your body needs an adequate amount of water to function properly. When you are dehydrated it WILL show on your skin. You can use as many hydration masks as you’d like but essentially it won’t make as much as a difference as proper water does.  You can calculate how much water you need here.

USE CLEAN HAIR PRODUCT

Whenever we sleep our hair is on our skin and sometimes this can cause breakouts to occur. Make sure your washing your hair frequently or maybe sleep with it covered up. This will help the exchange of product to be minimal. This could also be a culprit for hairline breakouts!

BE HAPPY

Stress hormones create breakouts. Stress is BAD FOR YOU. If you are feeling stressed out, take a second and breath. Think of a few things you are thankful for,  consider what IS going good with the day ahead of you. You’ll thank me later!
